It’s always interesting when big publications try to talk SEO. Usually one of two things happens; one, they tell us something that’s been out there for the last 2-3 years. Two, they talk like they know what they’re doing but you scratch your head and ask yourself, “what are you talking about?” But this post on Forbes is neither! I can’t believe I found a good article based on relevant topics that we SEO-ers would find interesting.

YouTube is the second largest search engine on the internet, it only makes sense that we SEO-ers know a little about the in’s & outs of how their algorithm works. Though I’ve seen many YouTube SEO blog articles in the past none of them are as easy to follow as this piece right here. Even I learned a thing or two so check it out and get your videos ranking.

4 Reasons Why SEM is Better than SEO
We’ve heard it before from those on the PPC side of things; SEM is better than SEO. This article gives all the same old reason why SEO sucks and paid ads are better. Honestly it leaves out the fact that a simple SEO strategy can save money in the long run. Not everyone clicks on Google ads, and many jump straight to the organic results anyway. So if you’re going to argue that one is better than the other you need to also acknowledge that your article is based on opinion and not fact.

Mining Reviews for SEO Benefit
One technique for improving your on-page content is to go back and add a few great reviews. Jill Kocher adds a few more techniques for mining reviews to add to our SEO strategy. There is a few nuggets in there if you haven’t figured out how to use reviews already.
